Cambridge Cookery School 1-week Chalet course is an intensive, high-quality course providing 4* training for people aiming to find work with discerning, high quality ski and chalet companies.

We work in small groups, with a complete hands-on approach. We design menus for our partners in the chalet world which means that many of the recipes will be directly relevant for the food you will be cooking in the resort. This is a very intensive course and whilst no previous cookery experience is required, passing requires focus and commitment. At the end of the week, representatives from our partners in the industry will attend to conduct interviews for the coming season.

Our team of friendly but professional chefs will teach you knife skills, kitchen hygiene, efficient prepping and planning, budgeting, shopping and time management. The course provides the following key skills:

  • time management and menu planning to ensure more time on the slopes
  • key cheffing and cookery skills that you can rely on
  • relevant 7-day menus including starters, main courses and desserts for adults and children, vegetarian options, alternatives for restricted diets, cakes and canapés
  • nutritional and special diets advivce
  • food presentation
