Scandinavian Midsummer Magic
Saturday, June 28th, 2014, 10.00 am - 2.00 pm
NEW FOR 2014!
Cookery school founder Tine Roche shares some of her childhood food memories in this wonderful class of Nordic delights. Throughout Scandinavia, Midsummer is as important as Christmas and celebrations involve traditional food and all-night parties to make the most of the short nights when the sun sets at midnight and rises again at 3am.
Tine will show you how to make traditional Vodka and Dill cured Gravad lax, meltingly tender and salty Jansson’s Temptation, Toast Skagen, Västebotten Cheese Tart and sweets such as Raspberry Grottos and Almond and Butter cream Tart.
The class will start with coffee/tea and traditional Swedish cake and finishes off with sampling the dishes the Swedish way – with a shot of frozen Aquavit!
Full recipe packs and tips on ingredients included.
