Sourdough master class

A wonderful masterclass on the ancient art of sourdough – the most delicious, healthy and special of breads. Our artisan bakers know how to share their knowledge in a manner designed to de-mystify the process and reveal just how “doable” sour dough is for the home baker. Sour dough not only offers a better tasting bread with a fantastic crust, it is also has a low GI, is easy on the gut and is a healthy, complex carbohydrate. What’s not to like? While our classic sour dough breads rise, we mix and bake with a 24-hour starter to make Swedish slow risen rye and caraway rolls and a fantastic crusty French Pain de Campage with nuts and raisins.
We start by gathering around morning coffee or tea with something freshly baked and enjoy a light lunch with freshly made bread while the final trays of bread bake.
The class also includes full recipe packs and a healthy Cookery School starter to bring home.
