Below are brief descriptions of current courses at Cambridge Cookery School. If you require more information please do not hesitate to call us for a chat. All Cambridge Cookery School courses are designed to be both fun and highly informative, ensuring you learn some invaluable skills through hands-on practical activities. Bread making and basic knife skills are included in all courses.

The Friday Night Cookery Club is a relaxed format where we cook together, have a glass of wine, share a delicious meal at the end and hopefully come away feeling in a great mood for the weekend.

Cookery Classes for Children

We run classes for youngsters during most school holidays, catering for a range of age groups. We can also arrange private parties. Please click on the relevant heading or call for more details.

No Time to Cook

If your intentions tend to be better than the end result, let us inspire you to better, healthier and more delicious every-day meals. Do-able recipes and ideas to improve and enhance your weekly cooking.

Bread Making

There are few smells more evocative or mouth watering than that of freshly baked bread. During this course we unveil the secrets of good bread making and show how easy it is to make quick, delicious daily bread with a minimum of work or time involved. The day starts off with cinnamon buns and an introduction to sour dough, we then take a short break for lunch – naturally accompanied by freshly baked bread -followed by Focaccia, a rye and fennel bread as well as Italian Grissini. If you have never baked bread or rely on a bread machine, this course will convert you to real baking real fast.

Easy Entertaining

If you feel slight trepidation at the prospect of cooking for guests or just feel in need of some inspiration and new ideas for entertaining, this is the course for you. With an emphasis on flavour and presentation, this course will give you a boost to elevate your enteratinment to new heights.

Seasonal Italian

The food of Italy remains a firm favourite and it’s easy to see why. Based on home cooking, using seasonal and regional ingredients, the food from Italy’s many regions is one of the best sources of inspiration for the home cook.

Fish!

Cooking whole fish, filleting, boning, skinning, sustainability, seasonality…

Fish is so healthy and so versatile, lending itself superbly to some of the quickest and simplest week-day meals as well as dinner party pieces. Get confident when it comes to buying and cooking fish.
