Our 5-day residential course (non residential optional) is perfect if you need to learn cooking for Uni, or if you are looking to do the D of E Gold Award.
If you are about to leave home and thinking beyond pizzas and take-away curries, this is what you need. We will give you the skills to cook fast, tasty and inexpensive food. We know that cooking in a less than clean, shared kitchen is not conducive to complicated dishes requiring lots of equipment. However, this course runs parallel with our high octane course for Chalet Chefs which means you will be taught to cook properly and not simply given an array of overly basic recipes.
We start each morning with cooking breakfast, and move on to cakes, biscuits, lunches, suppers and desserts. The tempo is high and the cooking 100% hands-on. No matter how novice a cook you are, we guarantee that you will leave our kitchen fully fledged and prepared for independent life.
